Aged to perfection
Julie and Stephen have done more than refine an old tradition: We've started a new one. We use traditional cheese making techniques from around the world to create complex flavors and textures without using dairy, in place of dairy we use fair trade, organic cashews . At Jule’s Foods our Brie and other cheeses are aged up to 3 weeks to achieve optimal flavor and texture. Our cheeses are hand flipped everyday to insure the rind grows evenly and matures with grace.
Our dressing, dips and buttery spreads all use cashew based aged cheese as a base. The same amount of care is applied all of our products.
Meet the Founders
Founders Jules Van Dam and Stefen Janke are passionate about Vegan Cheese. After years working in upscale fine dining restaurants such as LA's Patina, San Francisco's Aqua and The Waterfront. Jules and Stefen underwent a life changing health event - In 2014, Jules was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. After 2 surgeries and chemotherapy Jules felt that she need to make a change to her diet which lead her to adopting a plant based diet. It was this very change in diet that lead Jules and Stefen starting Jule’s Foods.
Jule’s Foods mission is to fulfill your cheese craving. We hear it everyday, “The one thing I can’t give up is cheese!” So we’ve created an inspired plant based cheese company.
